SUPER Sunday

On Sunday, February 7, it's game on! First, wear your favorite football shirt to church and help us collect the SOUPer Bowl of Caring offering before and after worship. We'll be collecting money and food donations in our huge soup pots to be donated to Loaves and Fishes in Monroe.

Then, at 4:30pm, head over to the Price's house for our "Backyard Bowl." It's adults vs. kids flag football! Then we'll head inside for food, fun and commercials on TV. Everyone please bring a snack to share. This is fun for everyone, so plan on coming out and having a SUPER Sunday!

Rake 'n Run

The leaves are all changing colors and starting to fall off the trees, which means it must be time for 1 thing: a little R & R. No, not rest and relaxation, Rake 'n Run! Here's how it works: on Saturday, November 7, you bring your favorite rake (or borrow one from your neighbor) and meet at the church at 10am. From there, we'll go to some older or disabled people's homes in the community, rake up all their leaves, then hit the road to the next house. We'll hit as many houses as we can and return to the church by 1pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided. More leaf collecting tools (yes blowers are allowed!) equals more people helped!

Maggie Lee...For Good

12-year-old Maggie Lee Henson died on August 2, 2009 from a severe brain injury endured 3 weeks earlier when her youth group's bus blew a tire and flipped several times on the way to youth camp. In memory of what would've been Maggie Lee's 13th birthday, everyone is asked to do at least 1 act of random kindness on Thursday, October 29. Then, on Sunday, November 1, at our youth meeting (6-7:30), we'll record you telling the story of your kind acts and send our collection of messages to Maggie Lee's family. Youth Kick-Off & Parent Meeting

"Totally Tubular Bad to the Bone Radical Riot"

On Sunday, September 13 you're invited to our 80's themed kick-off party from 6-8pm! We'll have a best dressed contest (with fabulous prizes!), gnarly games, wicked grub and a Van Halen concert...PSYCHE!

But really, bring your whole family for a great time. We're asking each family to bring 1 dish to contribute to our pot-luck dinner and everyone should be dressed to impress (or embarass!) in your best 80's clothes.

The evening will include a parent meeting and an opportunity to hear about some of the great things coming up this year. Hope to see you there!
